BayCity Rules

You must have a working microphone. It is required in order to play on this server.

Age Requirement:

• You must be 18+ to play on the server

Character Names:

• Character names need to be realistic. You must have a first and last name. And no slurs of any kind included in your character’s name. Also, no parody names.

Character Farming:

• Character Farming is not allowed! If you get caught transferring anything from one of your characters to another of your character, It will be considered Character Farming
• This means any and all forms. Giving items to another character to give it to another character/ back to you is still Character Farming!

Steam Names:

• No racial, homophobic or graphic steam names will be tolerated!
• No impersonation of Staff members or names like Owner, Admin Or Moderator.
• No impersonation of other players!
• This also means you cannot put emoji or any kind of lettering other than the English keyboard in your steam name. This is important for our staff team to be able to easily identify individuals within our server!

Account responsibility:

• If someone else is playing on your account, you are responsible for their actions. If they break a rule, you break a rule!

Offensive & Forced Roleplay:

• The use of homophobic, racial or sexual slurs are strictly prohibited and immediate terms for a ban!
• We do not take kindly to any type of weird styles of RP that would make someone uncomfortable. Do not go up to a female/male and act like you are doing anything that would get you arrested in real life. We are here to have fun, not to make players uncomfortable!
• We do not accept any kind of harassment or sexual behavior on a player that does not want to be engaged with it. Just like real life, if a female/male does not want you to advance them like you are, DO NOT continue.

ERP:

• Any kind of erotic Roleplay must be consented by all parties involved! Every person involved MUST be 18+

Terrorism/Suicide RP:

• We understand that both of these events occur in real life, however they are both touchy subjects and we are setting the rule to NOT allow any of these events in our city!

Threats:

• OOC threats are not allowed in any way, shape or manner. if found out this will result in a permanent ban!
• Keep OOC to minimum this means going into Discord DM’s, if there are any circumstances that you think require it. Please open a Ticket in our Discord

IRL Currency Trading:

• ABSOLUTELY DO NOT try to sell in game vehicles, houses or any items for IRL CURRENCY to another player! as you will be banned permanently from the city, along with those items you sold will be taken away from the other player.

RDM & No Initiation Roleplay:

• RDM (Random Death Match). The act of shooting someone with little to no Roleplay Reason.
• No initiation roleplay is NOT acceptable in any form. If you are going to shoot, react, or do anything to another player you must initiate first! before you shoot at someone you must be in an interaction with them!

VDM:

• VDM (Vehicle DeathMatch) is running people over on purpose, and intentionally driving people over with your vehicle with no RP behind it. Additionally, we recommend all players to never use their vehicle as a weapon! This is a very COMMON SENSE RULE!
• This does not mean “I hate you, I am going to run you over right now”. This means there should be RP behind it, and in DEPTH RP behind it.

No intention to Roleplay:

• Don’t do Lazy RP. Shooting at a cop at a traffic stop, shooting at a civilian because they hit your car. We are a Serious Roleplay server, and looking for a good time not GTA online.
• Keep in mind. This rule is left up to the discretion of our staff team. There should be no questions on if you are roleplaying or not. Every scene should be a story to your character’s arc.Not fly in one day and completely play your character differently. We ask that if you are not feeling to RP for the day then simply FLY OUT and come back when you are ready to RP again! We don’t want you to make poor decisions or bad choices that would result in a BAN.
• Sometimes this also can result in a PERMANENT BAN!

NVL & Fear RP:

• NVL is a very important rule to not break! and this refers to players treating situations like real life, and treating your characters life like there is only one to live. This rule is very simple to follow and a basic RP rule. Any breaks of this rule will be an instant 1 day ban for a 1st offense!
• Some examples are, but not limited to: On foot a bunch of gang members get out and tell you to put your hands up, jumping off high places just to get away even though you’d die. Driving your car into the water to escape police ETC. However, there are situations, like if a player is in their vehicles, and being robbed, they can drive off like they would in real life.
• Not fearing for your life. A gun is held to your head and/or you are outnumbered, do not try to be the hero or the badass. Feel as if you may die if the scenario presents itself.
• Your life should be treated as one life. Fearing for your life is a must and NEEDS to be a part of your RP!
• We do not care how big of a gang banger you are or how tough your character is. We simply ask you to act out as if they shoot you, you’d lose your character forever. Not following this rule WILL result in a NVL Ban

Breaking Character:

• Do not break character for any reason! This means OOC terms
• PLEASE KEEP IN MIND. There is no gray area here. If you break this rule, a ban and or coaching will take place.
• For streamers. We do not allow verbiage like “the voices in my head told me” or anything of that nature. Nobody in the city should know that you are streaming.

Metagaming:

• The act of using outside knowledge in character that you would not know IC. Example watching someone’s stream, information exchanged over a discord call or chat. Using a discord call to communicate about in city events is strictly prohibited.
• Streamers are NOT ALLOWED to use any information given in chat! they are not voices in your head giving you info, you cannot act upon the info they give you.

Power Gaming:

• Abusing a game mechanic to help you out in a Roleplay scenario.
• Power Gaming can come up in a lot of scenarios, and you might not even know you are power gaming.
• Custom peds are allowed inside the city, but players are not allowed to change their peds identity after the fact. Meaning if you choose to be a certain ped model instead of the freemode model, you are not allowed to change that ped moving forward as it makes 0 sense that you went from ABC to XYZ.

Intentional Ramming:

• Continuously ramming a players vehicle just to start a conflict. It is low effort and doesn’t spark any useful RP. This could also be looked at as RDM OR VDM, this all depends on the situation.

New Life Rule:

• You are not allowed to return to the location you died at until the events that caused your death are over.
• When downed or dead on a scene, you should not be using /help to call the AI doctor right away, let the scene finish first or wait for someone to assist you in getting to the hospital.
• When you completely bleed out, you must forget specific names, people, amount of people, vehicles that were part of the events that caused your death.
• When you get downed and helped by EMS you may remember.

Exploiting:

• Using bugs of the city to help you in character is strictly prohibited and you can be banned permanently for doing so and not reporting the bug and/or utilizing the bug. When you find a bug, you report it and do not talk about it with others.

Default Danny:

• Do not roleplay as a default character that you first spawn with. Create your own character as your own personal style. If you spawn in as a default Danny and were unable to customize your character, please open a ticket or go to the hospital where you can find a Plastic Surgeon.
  

Combat Logging:

• Combat logging is logging out to prevent a scene from continuing or to avoid an interaction. For example, getting caught by the police, being in a shout out and not wanting to die, or getting robbed so you decide to log out. We understand that crashes may happen sometimes but if it is found that you have combat logged, action will be taken.

OOC:

• OOC means Out Of Character.
• Taking things OOC is absolutely not allowed. You are playing in a roleplay server, and no player should be harassed, messaged, bothered etc. about in character/in city matters.
• OOC chatter is not allowed and is a bannable offense.

Spamming:

• Spamming a message/phone call in 911, spamming at pillbox, the police stations and/or a message in OOC will not be tolerated. If you’re not receiving help please open a ticket in our discord. As well, spamming a staff member’s DMs about things in the city, a ban or requesting help is not tolerated, that's why we have a ticket system in our discord so use that.

Talking While Downed:

• You are allowed to talk while downed, however, you must speak injured and act like it. Talking normally, having a conversation with friends, etc. should never happen while you are down on the ground from any type of injury. If doing so, will consider Fail RP and it can result in a ban.
• You are allowed to talk on the radio while down, but remember you cannot talk while completely dead!

Returning To a Scene:

• Players who are criminals cannot return to scenes after they have died. Cops can return to a scene if and only if it is a scene that is still active, that calls are still coming in for.
• Cops should only return to the scene if they went to the hospital, have returned to the police station and are ready for tour of duty again. Cops should not be combat rushing back to a scene they just went down in.
• Players cannot return to crime scenes, or stick around crime scenes.

Robbing Players:

• You are allowed to rob a player but when it comes to robbing players we are not a 100K or Die server and do not believe in robbing players constantly and just because.
• Robbing a player should always have a good roleplay reasoning as to why the robbery is happening, and all parties involved should know and understand why the robbery is taking place.
• There must be a legitimate reason to rob a player. A legitimate reason is not ‘’i needed money’’ or ‘’they called me a name’’ or ‘’They hit me’’. These are just a few examples of terrible reasons to rob someone, and it will not be tolerated. Please use common sense.
• You CANNOT make a player go to a bank and take out cash or transfer money to your bank account. This will result in a ban!
• When robbing a player, you can only rob the person from their pockets.But we don’t believe in pocket wiping.
• If you rob someone, you can not kill them! You can only rob someone if they are ALIVE!
• You are NOT allowed to steal a police officer's weapons.

Robberies:

• You are not allowed to rob banks or jewelry without hostages. We believe this is low effort RP and should be common sense to go through the steps of robbing places.
• You are allowed to rob houses, stores, ATMs, etc without hostages.
• For store robberies, players need to stay for at least 5 minutes after they have completed the robbery. This makes sure the interaction is there.

Hostage:

• You can not take a police officer hostage unless there are at least 4 police officers in the city + the one you are kidnapping. Meaning a total of 5 police officers need to be in the city to do this action.
• EMS should NEVER be taken hostage.
• Taking a civilian hostage is only for quality rp and must not keep the same hostage for more than one robbery. When trading a hostage for demands you must not abuse his life and you are only getting demands when using real hostages.
• We have players that own a business and they need their employees there to make it run. Please try to get hostages from other sources besides a whitelisted business.

When Can Illegal Activity Happen:

• Basic criminal/illegal activity should not be taking place 15 minutes before and after restart. This means drug sales, boosting, shooting, and other small arms crimes that don’t result in a big scene.
• Robberies cannot be done for 30 minutes after a restart and also be done up to 30 minutes before restart.
• We want to provide an actual good rp scene instead of trying to rush through the scene because of a restart. Please respect this rule as we like to give time for the city to get back active after a restart.

Chain Robbing:

• Do not chain rob. Please allow 30 minutes before each robbery. If you are caught in chain robbing ATMs, stores, etc. you could face a removal of the money you received from the robbery.
• Players are not allowed to rob locations back to back with the same interaction all the time. This means, that if you are caught doing a bank, you should not be hitting the same bank with the same people, with the same car 30 minutes later. Players must bring RP to their interactions. Doing the same thing, robbery, plan, etc. will be considered Chain Robbing.

Emergency Vehicles:

• You are not allowed to steal or drive emergency vehicles if you are not hired at one of these jobs. This means if you are not a Police Officer or an EMS you cannot drive or steal one of these vehicles.
• Players are not allowed to loot/rob an Emergency Vehicle.
• You may steal a police vehicle in one instance and one instance only; If that is your only escape option. If you get away from the police you must get rid of the car as soon as possible. You are not allowed to just drive around like you own it now.

Asset Dumping:

• Asset dumping is where you plan to leave the server or perma a character and give all your stuff away to other people. No one knows when they are ‘’dying’’ and does not start selling/giving millions of dollars of assets away or sell it for cheap. It ruins the economy. No type of transferring assets between each other due to a perma, death, etc. this means no death wills.
• If a player is found asset dumping before departure of the city or before a perma, all assets will be deleted and will not be returned!

Whitelisted Jobs:

• Players can only have 2 whitelisted jobs.
• Players are not allowed to do any criminal activity while under whitelisted jobs. This also includes using vehicles obtained through that job.
• You should NOT be clocked-in while not being at your job location! (farming paychecks).

General Gang Rules:

• You cannot team up with other gangs to rob a location or commit a crime.
• You cannot cut/mutilate any body part of another player and force that player to carry on the injury. If a player feels uncomfortable with the mutilation rp, they may request for it to stop by using /me to speak OOC with parenthesis. You also cannot force another player to commit suicide. It is recommended that your methods of torture allowed the victim to be able to recover fully for the best experience for both sides.
• Activity is key in gangs. If the leaders do not see activity within a gang for 2 weeks you will be subject to removal no questions asked.
• If you want your gang to follow certain rules only for your gang, you must have set up gang rules for your own gang and open a ticket to show it to staff so we can approve your gang rules.
• The leader of the gang has every right to blood your character out of their gang should they see fit. If this were to happen you would completely forget your time and actions from within the gang and are to roleplay it out as such. This means your character that is being blooded out, is permadeath. You lose all money, homes, cars, and assets. (But this is only allowed if it is in your own gang rules -approved by staff- and the leader needs to make a ticket before hand and staff needs to approved the blood out)

Gang Caps:

• Whitelisted gangs are limited to a 16 person maximum cap. This means each Whitelisted gang is allowed to have 16 in total members in their gang.
• Limit on active members: Each gang may only have a maximum of 8 members actively engaged in any criminal activity at a given time. Depending on what the activity is, the numbers could be lower.
• Split Activities: We have no issue if your gang is larger, such as 16 members. However, only 8 members can be involved in one criminal activity, while the remaining 8 members can be doing other civ-like activities.

Gang Zone Wars:

• Gangs can only have 6 players be part of each zone war, this also includes no gang members waiting/scouting outside of the zone.
• Must be wearing gang colors to present your own gang.
• No robbing, kidnapping or taking someone hostage of any parties involved.
• It is kill on site for all parties inside of the zone, no pre-RP is required.
• Once the one-war is over, the RP is over; Must discontinue any shooting, etc.
• Anyone that is not affiliated with a gang cannot participate in any way.
• All shooting must take place inside of the zone.
• If you go down, you are out of the war, you are not allowed to use local EMS or respawn to put yourself back in the fight. (you have to wait until the war is over)

Gang Wars:

• Gang wars have to be approved by staff. A list of agreed rules must be provided at the time. The rules for the gang war may not be changed until it is over.
• Gangs are able to declare war on another gang. The gang leaders need to make a ticket to get approval from staff and talk about certain rules for the gang war. If the other gang chooses not to accept the war, then it cannot be forced upon them. (Rules can include KOS).
• If a gang war is KOS. You are engaged all the time, meaning things like camping bodies and RDM do not constitute a rule break between the gangs involved.
• Carrying enemy gang members to the hospital during a gang war between involved factions is considered Fail RP.
• Police can, at their discretion, enter an active gang war when the first downed player occurs. Gang Wars are intended to be criminal vs criminal, and not criminal vs criminal vs cop. If you win the war, and sit around afterwards the cops can and will treat you as a hostile entity and prosecute you as such.

Gang Hopping:

• Joining a gang should be a big character decision. If your character wants to join a gang, make sure you understand what this rule entails. You are not allowed to hop organizations/gangs by any means. This means that if you are not enjoying your time with the gang, and you want to leave, your character must go on a 14 day cooldown from joining another gang. This includes all types of gang hopping including being a ‘’hang around’’, or associate of another gang.
• This rule also covers joining multiple gangs on different characters. You are only allowed to be in 1 gang at the time.

Gang Pressing and Gang Colors:

• Gangs are not allowed to press over Gang Colored clothing items and vehicles. (You don’t own a color). Gangs are to either find an identity through specialized jackets, masks, etc. We do not believe in pressing someone of their vehicle color, or because they are wearing a certain color.
